26711 - Sidebar Splitter disappears after clicking

If I click on the sidebar splitter (once) to minimize the sidebar, the sidebar
will close, but the splitter will disappear over most of the length of the
window.  Instead of the splitter, I will see the left half of the bookmark symbols.

I can still reopen the sidebar by dragging the splitter at the very top of the
screen, where the panel titles reside.
