I'm running release 1.0 on a Mac, and the same thing happens to me. The usual place that I click on links is Thunderbird, and it happens both in Thunderbird 0.8 and 0.9.

This bug was an issue with an extension I had called Tabbed Browser Extensions. I have since uninstalled it and links now open properly.
