Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041001 Firefox/0.10.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041001 Firefox/0.10.1 I was downloading the Neverwinter Nights resources from Jeux Linux on http://nwn.bioware.com/downloads/linuxclient.html when I noticed that my PC had not the proper system time (with the recent daylight saving time change) so I put the hour one hour back. Then I noticed that the download rate of my download showed something like: -1923.-2 KB/sec and kept reducing (-2000, etc.) After a while (maybe an overflow occured?) it was very large (3000 KB/sec) and now it's coming down near the proper download rate (29KB/sec) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start downloading a file (preferably a large one) 2. Change the system time one hour back (I changed it through KDE) 3. Watch the download rate change Actual Results: By changing the hour from 14:32 to 13:32 gave me a change to the download rate from 138 KB/sec (which is not true because of the first time I noticed the bug) to -44 KB/sec. Expected Results: Keep the download rate steady. I suppose one would need a separate timer and not relate to the system clock for counting the download rate The download itself does not seem affected, so this is why I'm reporting this as a trivial bug.

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050220 Firefox/1.0+ Changing the clock in KDE didn't seem to affect the download. Can you still reproduce this with a nightly build and a clean profile? If not, please resolve this bug WORKSFORME.

I can confirm this bug with the Suite's Download Manager (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8b) Gecko/20050217). With Firefox (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050317 Firefox/1.0.2) changing the clock (with "date --set") to a date in the future decreases the displayed download rate, changing to a date in the past stops the progress bar from working. The download is not affected by this.

Sorry for spamming. Suite recent nightly (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050402) shows same behaviour as Firefox, ie download bar stops working when setting clock to a date in the past.
