Right now it is the current IP address in brackets. For local networks, I consider this a security bug, because attackers may know your local network infrastructure. Not a security exploit, clearing confidential flag. Changing to enhancement. I'm not a mail guy, but judging from archived threads on various developer and standards lists sending the IP address is fairly common behavior of many mail clients.
