User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041020 Build Identifier: Bugzilla - whatever version is running at Fedora When you click on the Browse button to show candidate directories and files for attaching, 'dot' directories are not shown (probably also 'dot' files are not shown either). It would be good to have a check box which would enable a complete listing of directory and file names (e.g. like 'ls -1a') Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. In Bugzilla, click on 'attach a file' 2. Click on the 'Browse' button to get a list of directories and files 3. Look for a directory or file with a 'dot' as the first character 4. If you don't see one, click on a directory (open a directory) 5. If you don't see a 'dot' directory or file, go to step #3 above Actual Results: I did not see any files or directories with leading 'dot's Expected Results: With encouragement (a check box perhaps) you should be able to navigate to directories and files with leading 'dot's.

This is a function of your browser, not Bugzilla. What browser are you using? If it's Mozilla or Firefox, this is filed in the wrong product, and we can move it. If it's some other browser, this is INVALID.

I'm assuming Mozilla based on your user-agent. Reassigning...

Furthermore, this is a function of your browser UI. On Linux for me using the gtk2 toolkit this is possible by right clicking on the file list which brings up a menu to select hidden file viewing or not. See screenshot attached.

This worksforme as well, with the XP filepicker on Linux (gtk1 build). Reporter, does doing what comment 3 says work for you?

Ahh, that Right Mouse Button trick. Coming from the Macintosh world, the right mouse button is not one that I use in case of doubt. It is like turning over an old stone in a field of old stones. But, the right mouse button WORKSFORME Thanks for the clue.
