Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8a5) Gecko/20041031 Camino/0.8+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8a5) Gecko/20041031 Camino/0.8+ When choosing "Save as PDF" from the Print dialogue, Camino suggests the default filename of Untitled.pdf rather than [webpage's title].pdf for the default filename. (Firefox and Safari use the page's title.) (On the other hand, when displaying this dialogue Camino respects my Finder/OS preference to always show filename extensions; the others don't :-) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Visit a page with a valid title specified in its HTML (this bug) 2. Cmd-P 3. Click on "Save as PDF" button, observe filename in resulting dialogue. Actual Results: Untitled.pdf (or Untitled if user has selected to hide filename extensions in the Finder) Expected Results: Page's Title.pdf (or Page's Title if user has selected to hide filename extensions in the Finder)
sounds reasonable

Summary: Save to PDF uses Untitled.pdf for filename rather than the page's title → Save to PDF uses Untitled.pdf for filename rather than the page's title
Target Milestone: --- → Camino1.0
Note that when bug 157628 is in play, the suggested title becomes simply ".pdf" (see also 157628's duplicate, bug 181548 comment 3).
Simon seems to have a lead on this over in bug 302958. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 302958 ***
