To prevent spammers from getting confirmation an emailaccount is in use, it
doesn't help to block just the images, but other reloadables should be stopped too:

Solution is: View->Message Body As -> Simple HTML

My request is to use "Simple HTML" as default, but add a button above the
message : Show message in full HTML. (left of Show images)

Since there is Apple itunes and other online sellers you can trust, this feature
would help to show the email in full details without clicking through menues and
prevents spammers from getting confirmation of your emailaccount.
