267744 - After installation mozilla comes up with a "installation must finish" error

After installing Mozilla Firefox RC1 or RC2 and selecting Run Firefox at the 
last page of the install, the install closes and firefox never runs.  Upon 
looking at the task manager no firefox process is running, so firefox has not 
started.  When trying to run firefox using the icon created an error 
appears: "The program must close to allow a previos installation to complete.  
Please restart."  Now this is acceptable to have it need to restart after 
install but not to tell the user that when you try to run it.  If it does need 
to restart (I don't see why if it closes all firefox windows during install) 
then have it do it at the end of the installation.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install firefox
2. Tell firefox to run at the end of install
3. Firefox doesn't run

Error Message

Firefox should have fun

I get a slightly different message after installation (1.5RC2): 'Firefox is 
already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first 
close the existing Firefox process, or restart the system.' Of course, there is 
no firefox process running.

This is running Firefox without admin privileges on a Windows XP prof system.
