User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041104 Firefox/1.0RC2 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041104 Firefox/1.0RC2 In Windows it is possible to set a custom colour scheme where window backgrounds are non-white - for example off-white. The logo on the top section of the installer dialog doesn't look any good when the colour behind it isn't white. The colour behind it should be white to match the matte on the logo, or the logo should have alpha transparency. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set system colour scheme so window background is off-white 2. Run the Firefox installer, and proceed to the first step after the initial screen Actual Results: Firefox logo has white around it which doesn't match background Expected Results: Background should be white OR Logo should have alpha transparency.

Summary: Logo in installer has white background, mismatches system windor colour → Logo in installer has white background, mismatches system window colour (color)
Version: unspecified → Trunk
The new installer based on NSIS defines the color for the header which appears to be typical of commercial installers. Keep in mind that the control for the image uses a bitmap.

This was fixed by bug 326580. Now the color for the entire header is defined as shown in the screenshot I attached. resolving -> wfm
