if the page type is jsp, aspx or other not html page(for example shtml...), uses
the 'save as...' menu to save a web page, and the prefered(default) saving
option is the original one, that is to say, a .jsp web page is saved as .jsp
page! that is so frustrated and so unreasonable. the user just wants a .html
file. why not use the .html format to save the page? how to open the saved page
to view using a browser directly? i think it is really a big problem. i want a
quick feedback from yours. thanks.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.brows a web page which is not a .html type
2.click the 'file'->'save as' menu to save the page

Actual Results:
the page is not a .html type, but what i need should be the .html page.

Expected Results:
save it as a html file preferly.
phil's rewrite of this code may have fixed this...

The Save Page As function is working as the reporter wanted (tested in Firefox
1.0 and Seamonkey 1.1a nightly). Status can be changed to fixed by someone with
appropriate rights.

I see this too. In particular, I see this Bugzilla report being given a
default save name of show_bug.cgi.htm

I'd prefer it were ".html" rather than ".htm" but that's OT.
