User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040910 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040910 http://home.comcast.net/~spayeur shows several self-moving iframes, which work great. Whenever the page is loaded, though, gray block(s) appear on the left side of the screen, over everything else on the screen and outside of the browser's window. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Navigate to http://home.comcast.net/~spayeur 2. the blocks should appear as the iframes on the left nav column start to load 3. Actual Results: The blocks are there, abscuring anything below them. Expected Results: Not shown the blocks. The page works perfectly, except for the blocks. I do have http://www.chrispederick.com/work/firefox/webdeveloper/ installed (moz version), but I don't think it makes a difference.

Sequence: 1) Started with my default profile: problem existed 2) Used Tools->Switch Profile to a new profile: problem disappeared 3) Used Tools->Switch Profile to default profile: problem still not there 4) Restarted Moz, starting w/default profile: problem still not there 5) Restarted Moz, starting w/new profile: problem still not there 6) Restarted Moz, starting w/default profile: problem exists Now, though, every time I'm in my default profile (regardless of how I get there) the problem exists. Whenever I'm in the new profile, the problem is not there. When starting as my default profile, problem exists. Switching to clean profile (via Tools->, problem disappears. Switching

I just turned Mozilla off for a little while, and started up into the new profile, and the problem existed. I've tried starting into both profiles, as well as, switching between using Tools->Switch Profile, and the problem is always there. I created a second new profile (clean2, via Tools->Switch Profile), and the problem was still there. Starting into any of the profiles, or switching between any of them still resulted in the problem. I created a third clean profile (clean3, via Tools->Switch Profile), and the problem was not there. Switch to any of the other profiles, and the problem came back. At present, I set http://home.comcast.net/~spayeur to Clean 3's start page. restarting Moz into Clean 3, the page loads fine. Clicking the "reload" button brings the problem.

Further, clicking the "home" button loaded the page just fine. I could reproduce this 4 times in a row: starting Moz into Clean 3, the page loads fine. Clicking "Reload" brought the problem. Clicking "Home" would load the page fine. Now, it loads fine everywhere, except the default profile.

If you use Tools->SwitchProfile, there may be issues, like files from the old profile not closed, I´m not sure about this. I´m using a couple of profiles, and a couple of Mozillas, so I modified my shortcut to PathTo/mozilla.exe -ProfileManager, so at every start of a Mozilla I can decide which profile to use, or create a new one from there. I assume your bug is related to your extension, but I don´t know, if it is a bug of the extension, or a bug in Mozilla. I´ll install that extension in current nightlies, later on. One more thing you can test: while Mozilla isn´t running, including Quickstart, delete XUL.MFL in your profile. XUL.mfl is a fastload cache, it will be recreated at next start. If you want to check how your default profile runs without the extension, have a look at the instructions to deinstall manually: http://kb.mozillazine.org/index.phtml?title=Firefox_:_FAQs_:_Uninstall_Extensions A fine collection of links about profile related info: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=54104

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter.
