I find the new Find Toolbar extremely irritating (a similar feature makes the
latest version of Adobe Acrobat completely unusable, BTW).  Why is there no
option to use the old Find dialog if I want it?

Here's what I propose: make it so that I can move the Find Toolbar, either
putting it at the top of the window (where I can see it), or better yet,
allowing me to tear it off the window and put it anywhere I like.
