After deleting all bookmarks inside an (imported) bookmark folder, it was not
possible to delete the empty folder itself. Within "manage bookmarks", the
'delete' item of the empty folder's context menu is greyed-out.

Note: This happened with a bookmark/folder structure that has been automatically
imported from Netscape 4.75. With manually-created empty folders, the 'delete'
item is NOT greyed-out and the folder CAN be deleted.

Is the remaining folder set as the bookmarks toolbar folder? That's the one way
I know of to get a folder you can't delete.

Hi Phil, that was it! So my interpretation as a "bug" caused by import and/or
emptyness of the folder was wrong - sorry! 
Seemingly, it was simply the position as the FIRST folder which caused it being
automatically set as the toolbar folder during import (I wasn't aware of it, as
I had disabled my bookmarks toolbar).

As I didn't find the "official" way to change this setting (if any), I edited
bookmarks.html manually and moved the PERSONAL_TOOLBAR_FOLDER="true" part of the
H3 Tag away to another folder entry. After that, the empty folder could be
deleted without problems.

As a conclusion, the only remaining "bug" is that the user doesn't really come
to know what's going on...
