An exact date time timestamp, rather than just grouping by day, would be a very
useful addition to the history manager.

I visit a *lot* of pages daily, and it is very painful going through the
history, looking for a concrete page that I know I just visited, given that for
pages visited in the same day, they get ordered by name.

The following bug, request a somewhat related feature, but is not exactly the
same: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=208795

The following extension implements my request among other things, but I think
what it is requested in this bug is a basic feature for any useful history manager.

Internet Explorer history manager is as unuseful as the current Firefox
implementation, while Opera Browser has this feature making it way more useful
(see here for Opera history manager:

The sidebar is highly unsuitable for real management tasks. I don't even
consider it a "manager" in the same way that the bookmarks sidebar isn't a manager.

There's been some preliminary discussions on whether to restore an actual
history manager, similar to the extension in question. I actually use that
extension to play around with certain things, but I'm not sold on the usefulness
to the majority of people.

Marking this WONTFIX, if we decide to go with a History Manager, it would
certainly have a timestamp field.

But my opinion is that even the current history non-manager sidebar should have
a timestamp feature. It shouldn't be that hard to implement and I don't think it
will annoy people who does not need it.
I agree that either timestamps should be added, or a History Manager introduced. The current method of hunting through several hundred pages titles, with no way of finding out when or where they were visited is incredible frustrating.

The link stopped working, you can find the 2.0 extension here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/420/

Still nobody interested in implementing this?

This is WORKSFORME when you go History->Show All History. It's WONTFIX for the sidebar per comment 2 (Mike is the Firefox module owner and has the final say in this matter)
