If it has, it will automatically update the extension's page on update.mozilla.org and mirror the extension. This should allow update.mozilla.org to always have the latest extension. There's way too much potentional for malicousness here. It overrides any system of testing that might exist, and some authors might actually like the control they have over what versions appear on update. Authors will soon be given the ability to login and manage their extensions in a mostly automated way. Making it much easier for them to keep their listings up-to-date. --> Wontfix.
