It seems the password manager is very irregular as to storing the password when
downloading pop3 mail. Sometimes it remember, sometimes it doesn't. It seems
to occur more often when dealing with a situation like bug 265215. Sometime it
will remember a few times in a row, but sometimes not. The longer I wait, at
least it seems, the more often it forgets.

I've typed in the password and clicked the "remember password" box.

Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1.check your pop3 mail
2.
3.

Actual Results:
often asks for the password.

Expected Results:
expect it to remember the password.

This bug appeared when I upgraded to 0.9 release. I've installed the nightly
release, but it still happens.
I've have the amesitution as the previous poster (including showing up 0.9).
For me, it requests the password every time I start up the mailer. Once started
up, it stores the password, whether I click "store password" box or not.
However, periodically, it seems to "lose" the password and ask for it again, but
this usually doesn't occur until the mailer has been up for some time.

I think I'm going to have to go back to 0.8 (again).

I think I'm going to have to go back to 0.8 (again). I'm running win2k, if it
matters.
I've reinstalled 0.8 and things are working as they should again. Is there any
idea of what changed between 0.8 and 0.9-1.0?

Is there a password file that could have been corrupted or be cleaned out to get
it to remember the password? The reason I mention this is that I can install
0.8 and it works fine. Install 1.0 and it doesn't work and go back to 0.8 and
all is well. Ideas?
v1.0 (also present before).
When sending, occasionally loses the password, and won't reacquire it until I
"Cancel" the send (save message to draft), open the draft, "send" it, and
reenter the password - at which point it ALWAYS succeeds, for the time
being..... until sometime later when it loses its mind again.
Sending a message in Thunderbird 1.0.2, multi account, Password manager didn't
store password. Stopping send message, adding another smtp server, some times works

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
