User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041001 Firefox/0.10.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041001 Firefox/0.10.1 Whenever I try to complete the 'www. ... .com' prefix and suffix in the firefox address bar by pressing 'ctrl+enter', the 'ctrl+J' command is ALSO activated, giving me the 'downloads' window. When testing this on Firefox 0.9, it also did the same thing, but gave me the 'Page Info' window, which is activated by 'ctrl+J' in that version. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to the address bar 2. Type any word, e.g. 'rediff'/'cnn' etc. (to go to 'www.rediff.com/ www.cnn.com respectively) 3. Press 'ctrl+enter' Actual Results: 1. The expected action takes place correctly - www.rediff.com/ www.cnn.com are opened. 2. Unexpected action: the 'Downloads' window also opens up (associated with 'ctrl+J'). OBSERVATION: It is the 'ctrl+J' action that is always activated - whatever it is the shortcut for. Expected Results: 1. The expected action takes place correctly - www.rediff.com/ www.cnn.com are opened, without the 'ctrl+J' activation! I have the following extensions (latest versions) installed: 1) Flashgot 2) Googlebar 3) Imagezoom 4) Foxytunes 5) Single Window 6) Autofill -UNINSTALLED 7) Windows Update 8) Browser Uptime -UNINSTALLED 9) Allow right-click 10) Bug me Not 11) Bandwidth tester -UNINSTALLED 12) Add Bookmark here 13) Dictionary Search 14) Digger -UNINSTALLED 15) FireFTP 16) Jumplink -UNINSTALLED 17) OpenBook -UNINSTALLED 18) Open Long URL -UNINSTALLED 19) Webmail Compose -UNINSTALLED 20) Tab Browser Preferences 21) Tab Browser Extensions 22) Disable targets for download 23) IEview 24) Popup allow -UNINSTALLED 25) Bookmark backup -UNINSTALLED 26) Reload every 27) Adblock 28) Copy plain text 29) Spellbound 30) Spellbound francais language pack
If you start in Safe Mode (either the Start Menu option, or firefox.exe -safe-mode), so that your extensions are all disabled, do you still see it? If not, and you almost certainly won't, then it's an extension bug, that you need to take up with the extension author (by disabling them all in the Extension Manager, then re-enabling them one at a time until you find out which one is breaking you, probably starting with TBE). If you do still see it in Safe Mode or in a new profile without any extensions installed, then please reopen this bug.

The behavior is observed in 'safe mode' (without extensions enabled) too! So I believe it is a bug.
Marking WORKSFORME, this hasn't been a problem anywhere else.
