i cannot get the browser to appear as a floating window, it is stuck to the top of the screen and halfway 
off screen

Marking invalid as this isn't a problem Camino creates it's an issue with OS X.
Best advice I have is to change your display resolution to something more or
less and then revert while keeping Camino open.
