User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; pl-PL; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040917 Firefox/0.9.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; pl-PL; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040917 Firefox/0.9.3 While using firefox with Polish locale, the *very* useful shortcut Alt-D (go to url field) does not work - instead of going to url field it opens Go menu. The reason is simple: someone decided to use letter d as shortcut for Go menu (in Polish it is 'Przejdź'). Please, change the menu shortcut somehow (maybe just change Przejdź to Idź and use I as menu shortcut?), so Alt-D works again as in English version. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set Polish locale 2. Open Firefox 3. Press Alt-D Actual Results: Przejdź (Go) menu is open Expected Results: Place cursor within url field and highlight the current content of this field.

Minor note: this bug would suit the 'Internationalization' component, but there is no such in firefox bugzilla....

One more note: as I checked, KDE team uses 'Id¼' with shortcut Alt-I as Polish translation for Go menu.

Use CTRL+L. The shortcuts with CTRL+<key> are the same in all l10ns and mostly common for all platforms (on Mac - s/CTRL/Cmd/). Changing "Przejdz" to "Idz" is a bad choice, it does not sound very natural. Also, "idz" is rather a translation of "be going" than "go". :-) If we are to change it, I'd rather go the Epiphany/Galeon way and change the accesskey for "Przejdz" to Alt+r.

If alt+r is not used, I'm Ok for this change. Marcoos: you want to have it tracked here, or moved to bugs.firefox.pl ?

It seems that alt+r is available. Gonna fix this in 1.1.

This was fixed some time ago during l10n migration to trunk. "Go" is still (and always will be) "Przejdz", but the accesskey is now "r", so Alt+D puts focus into the address bar. Resolving WORKSFORME.
