User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 It seems platform sniffing code is broken with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 for Windows(I can't test other versions at this moment). The download link is not displayed and the user experience is very frustrating: how is an IE user supposed to switch, if he can't download Firefox from the advertised location? The long awaited 11/9 may turn into a 9/11... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start IE (version 5) 2. Open http://www.getfirefox.com 3. Try to download Firefox Actual Results: I can't find a single link pointing to Firefox download Expected Results: There should be a link to download Firefox

I am also seeing this and it has been noted in <a href="http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=158262&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=">forum </a> during 1.0 release. I did a <a href="http://bo.sdf-eu.org/pic/ie50view.jpg">screen shot</a>.
Seeing the same with IE 6 SP1 on win2k on http://mozilla.org and http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird/ - getting reports on #mozillazine of the same problem with IE 6 SP2 on XP. Script errors seem to be the problem for the entire green "download" block not showing up. line 188, char 1, expected identifier on mozilla.org also line 57, char 15, object expected on /products/thunderbird Seems kinda really bad. I assume there's some pref setting in IE that's causing this, cause otherwise this would have been noticed a lot earlier and by a lot more people (and I can't find any other bug reports about this), but it still should be fixed sooner rather than later.

I think this error started with this checkin: http://cvs-www.mozilla.org/webtools/bonsai/cvsview2.cgi?diff_mode=context&whitespace_mode=show&file=download.js&branch=&root=/cvsroot&subdir=mozilla-org/html/products/thunderbird&command=DIFF_FRAMESET&rev1=1.36&rev2=1.37

Just committed a fix for this (Rev 1.40 http://cvs-www.mozilla.org/webtools/bonsai/cvslog.cgi?file=mozilla-org/html/products/thunderbird/download.js&rev=&root=/cvsroot/). Please test and confirm.
Got more confirmation from people who saw it broken before as well. Marking fixed.
