Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0

I just installed the new FF 1.0, and elected not to have its installer create
shortcuts in my start menu.

It created them anyway.

Also, either this problem exists also for TB, or FF's installer creates TB
shortcuts. I suspect the latter, since I installed TB0.9 yesterday and didn't
notice the unwanted shortcuts till after installing FF1.0.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install FF1.0.
2. elect NOT to have the installer create shortcuts in the start menu
3. re-boot (probably not necessary, just part of my own procedure).
Actual Results:
shortcuts exist in start menu

Expected Results:
shortcuts should not have been created.

Is this really a duplicate? Bug 245392 mentions (parenthetically) an *empty*
folder being created in the start menu. But I'm seeing a folder that has links
in it.
