Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open at least two tabs
2. On one of these tabs, try to load a website
3. Close the tab before the loading finishes

Actual Results:  
The status bar will continue to display 'Transferring data from www.xxxx.com...'
until a new page is loaded

Expected Results:  
The status bar should be cleared when the tab is closed

Sounds like a duplicate of bug 104532.

I thought there was a dupe, but couldn't find it in query. Thanks.  
Even though the steps here require closing a tab, it's the same problem as
switching to another tab.
