Problem was solved by downloading latest nightly build and installing it in a new directory.

(In reply to comment #6) > *** Bug 271982 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I've got the same bug. I have a "c:\program files\mozilla thunderbird" directory from a previous installation. I can't delete the folder. Windows says I can't because "it's not empty." When I look at it, I see nothing listed. When I look at it through the DOS emulator, I get ------------------------------------------------- C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird>dir Volume in drive C has no label. Volume Serial Number is 7856-DA4B Directory of C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird 01/03/2005 11:37 AM <DIR> . File Not Found C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird> ----------------------------------------------- Installing Thunderbird in a different directory works smoothly.
I also have this problem trying to install the build from 14 April 05. Tried installing into new directory but problem still evident. XP SP2

XP SP2 Matt, is your report for a 202 error or "229 SCRIPT_ERROR ? FF nightly currently has 229 reported in bug 290312 Can anyone who commented replicate this on a current build?
