I have the same problem on Win 2000.
Problem was solved by downloading latest nightly build and installing it in a
new directory.
Does not work in my situations. Problem is still there.

I've got the same bug. I have a "c:\program files\mozilla thunderbird"
directory from a previous installation. I can't delete the folder. Windows
says I can't because "it's not empty." When I look at it, I see nothing listed.
When I look at it through the DOS emulator, I get
-------------------------------------------------
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird>dir
Volume in drive C has no label.
 Volume Serial Number is 7856-DA4B

 Directory of C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird

01/03/2005 11:37 AM <DIR> .

Installing Thunderbird in a different directory works smoothly.
I also have this problem trying to install the build from 14 April 05. Tried
installing into new directory but problem still evident. XP SP2

Matt, is your report for a 202 error or "229 SCRIPT_ERROR
? FF nightly currently has 229 reported in bug 290312

Can anyone who commented replicate this on a current build?
