When implementing XTF elements, it's useful to defer processing of children
until all of them have been added (during parsing). We currently support a
doneAddingChildren() notification that helps part of this, but it's not feasible
right now to defer anything until doneAddingChildren is called, because it may
never be called if your element is being dynamically inserted. I'd suggest a
solution for this is to have a beginAddingChildren notification, and then
element implementations can suppress certain notifications between "begin" and
"done".
