Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0

With Mozilla Firefox 1.0PR and 1.0Final, when I click the GO Menu (near the top
of them page) to see recently viewed pages, the browser will freeze for at least
10 seconds. It will stop doing this for that session, unless I open a new
browser window and repeat the process.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open new Mozilla FireFox 1.0 Browser Window.
2. Press Go (near top).
3. Wait 10-20 seconds.

Actual Results:
It opened properly, and didn't freeze after (unless I opened another browser
window).

Expected Results:
Not frozen.

This didn't happen with the Mozilla Suite, only with Firefox. My computer is
brand new, so it's not slow, so I'm guessing Firefox is trying to access the old
data from the harddrive but it takes it a while.

if you go to your profile directory, how big is your history.dat? This is
probably a dupe of the "giant history files take a while to parse" issue.

On Windows XP/2000, the path is usually
%AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default\, where xxxxxxxx is a random
string of 3 characters. Just browse to C:\Documents and Settings\[User
Name]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ and the rest should be obvious.
