That's an old version. Please download and try the most recent version from
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/download.html

It would not install. The menu shows the old calendar as queued for uninstall,
but it appears to have already uninstalled.
Can't you install on top?

News: I upgraded to Fedora Core 3 at home and the problem remained on Mozilla,
but seemed to be cured on Firefox.
I'm having the same problem.

Firefox version (from help-->about):
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0

Calendar Version: 0.8.1+ (from the Tools-->Extensions window)

The calendar toolbar icon and Tools menu item are present and attempting to load
either of those results in firefox crashing.
after posting my previous comment, I found the version for the help-about for
the calendar and got the actual version info:
2004-111214-cal
I have to same problem. Firefox 1.0 crash when trying to open calendar (2004-12-17).
But I get an additional error when calendar is installed and I open firefox. I
get the following error message:
'The procedure entry point ??1nsGetServiceByContractID@@UAE@XZ could not be
located in the dynamic link library xpcom.dll'
John and Steve,
Can you see if this bug still occurs on the newer builds of calendar? If
not, this bug should be closed. However, if it's still there, it's definitely
something we should try to pin down and address.
I'm currently running Firefox 1.0.3. The current version of the Calendar
plug-in does not work with it (refuses to install).
QA Contact: gurganbl → general
Calendar extension is no longer maintained and developed. Therefore this bug can be closed I guess.
