User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 When downloading some files, particularly large files over FTP, total file size information apparently isn't passed along. When this happens, the status displayed in the Title Bar of the Download Manager shows, for example, "-1% of 3 files" which could be confusing to some users. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open an FTP site via the browser (for example, ftp.heanet.ie) 2. Select a large file to download (an ISO, for example) 3. Notice status of Download Manager, which shows an unknown file size in the individual file status and -1% in the Download Manager. Actual Results: Files weren't affected, and the download completed as expected. Only the overall percentage number is at issue, and it remains when the file downloads are complete. Expected Results: Title Bar should instead show that either the overall percentage is unknown, or not display a percentage, and should in any case show 100% completed when all file downloads are complete. Installed Extensions: - easyGestures 2.13.1 - Gcache 0.2.1 - GooglePreview 0.8 - LiveHTTPHeaders 0.9 - Minimize to Tray 0.0.1.20041022+ - Tabbrowser Extensions 1.11.2004101901 - WeatherFox 0.5.1 I doubt any of these would have anything to do with it, but just in case...

Are these files over 2GB in size? If so please dupe to bug 228968.

(In reply to comment #1) > Are these files over 2GB in size? If so please dupe to bug 228968. No. The ISO files were ~651MB (slackware-10.0-install-d1.iso) and 664MB (slackware-10.0-install-d2.iso) in size. Even combined, they come to only about 1.3GB.
This was reported by someone else, but I came to the site to report it and saw the "Unconfirmed" status. So, I am adding the screenshot to make sure it is seen and fixed.

Note: No single file in the list above was greater than 51MB and the total size of files downloaded in the session was only 120MB. This error appeared after I switched back to my main firefox window (only one tab open), selected a new file, switched back to the downloads then when the save prompt came up selected the desired location and clicked save. When the download window reappeared it had the -1% issue. Further note: All files bar 1 which was completed where FTP downloads.
Variable for file size is 'wrapping around' to negative number on large files. Verfied on download size > 3.4 gigs.

The problem is not limited to the percent of the file that has been downloaded. Just about every number displayed in the download manager can be negative.

I also see this bug. I'm currently downloading the World of Warcraft install, several hundred megabytes. It's currently at -1421635 KB at -208.-5 KB/sec; unknown file size.
