the latest googlebar is currently 0.9.0.30 and is available from
http://googlebar.mozdev.org
after installing it and restarting firefox, if you pull up the extensions
manager and try to adjust the googlebar extension's options, the extensions
manager no longer accepts input and won't close. firefox.exe has to be forced
quit :(

Unless you're seeing this as a general problem (i.e. any extension you try to
edit options on does this), bugs with extensions get reported to the extension
author. They aren't browser bugs.

huh? if a poorly written extension can cause the extensions manager to
misbehave, isn't that a browser bug? shouldn't we be striving to make the
browser bulletproof?

Making browser bulletproof will take away extensions' power. In future, please
provide direct links to XPI to save triager a few mouse-clicks.
Googlebar works for me (clean profile/Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1;
en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0). There was a slight delay (less
than a second) before its options dialog opened, but no problems. Probably an
extension bug, which is visible with certain prefs/otehr data left from older
installation.
marking as invalid. If you can prove it's a browser's bug, not googlebar's,
please reopen.

sorry about no direct link. they changed they XPI but kept the same version
number so the 0.9.0.30 that you got is different than the one which locked up my
extensions manager :( the newer 0.9.0.30 version works for me, too.
unfortunately, i didn't keep a copy of the old one around and i don't see a way
to get it from the web page.
i'll see if i can track down a copy of the original 0.9.0.30.
