269015 - installs extension a second time and duplicates entry in Tools menu

After I updated from FF 0.8 to FF 1.0PR (installed over), the plugins I had
installed before were not shown in the Extension manager. So I downloaded their
most recent version and installed them again. Then I saw them twice in the Tools
menu.

Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install Firefox 0.8
2.Install Adblock and Magpie extension (adblock-1.5-dev.xpi, magpie3_1.xpi)
3.Restart Firefox
4.Install Firefox 1.0PR
5.Install Adblock and Magpie extension (adblock-0.5-0.5.2.039.xpi, magpie3_1_2.xpi)
6.Restart Firefox
Actual Results:  
Menu items duplicated.

Expected Results:  
The menu items should have been there only once each.

With the menu items duplicated the bug
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=262373 prevented me from finishing
checks for updates even after I restarted FF many times.
When I uninstalled the extensions restarted they disappeared from the menu and
after I installed them again it seems to work ok.

Extensions system has changed in 0.9, so profiles with pre-0.9 extensions are
not supported by new Extension Manager. IIRC, there was a reminder in Release
Notes somewhere.

Technically, the first two extensions you installed are not treated as
extensions by Firefox 0.9+. You should have started a new profile when upgrading
from 0.8.
