Whos the author name you want shown and what e-mail address for the update account?
Whiteboard: [need author info]
Author: A9.com

what is the e-mail for update account? Is this a public facing e-mail or one
just used by mozilla.org? If just used by mozilla.org, use leblang@a9.com.
If public, use toolbar-moz@a9.com
Whiteboard: [need author info] → [Question about e-mail for update account]
It's not public facing. It's used for the upcoming Developer Control panel login
and related mail *only*. So, I'll use "leblang@a9.com". It can be changed later
if need be.
OK, Added it to the site. (Give it up to a half-hour for the Mozilla FTP Mirrors
to pick up the file.) If you have any updates reopen this bug and I'll add them.
Thanks.

Whiteboard: [Question about e-mail for update account]
from http://toolbar.a9.com/-/company/toolbar-tou.jsp:

INFORMATION COLLECTED AND STORED BY A9.COM'S TOOLBAR SERVICE

A9.COM'S TOOLBAR SERVICE COLLECTS AND STORES FULL UNIFORM RESOURCE LOCATORS
("URLS") FOR EVERY WEB PAGE THAT YOU VIEW WHILE USING THE A9.COM TOOLBAR
SERVICE. THESE URLS SOMETIMES INCLUDE PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION. URLS
FROM SECURE (HTTPS) WEB PAGES ARE NOT COLLECTED. BY COLLECTING URLS, A9.COM
TRACKS AND COLLECTS A RECORD OF USERS' WEB BROWSING ACTIVITY WITHIN AND ACROSS
WEBSITES. A9.COM ALSO COLLECTS AND STORES OTHER USER INFORMATION YOU GIVE A9.COM
WHEN YOU DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THE SOFTWARE AND INFORMATION YOU ENTER INTO THE
TOOLBAR SERVICE. BECAUSE A9.COM IS A WHOLLY OWNED SUBSIDIARY OF AMAZON.COM,
INC., A9.COM IS ABLE TO CORRELATE INFORMATION IT COLLECTS WITH PERSONALLY
IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION THAT AMAZON.COM HAS, AND AMAZON.COM HAS ACCESS TO
INFORMATION COLLECTED BY A9.COM. AMONG OTHER THINGS, A9.COM AND AMAZON.COM USE
THIS INFORMATION TO CUSTOMIZE, PERSONALIZE, AND OTHERWISE IMPROVE THE SERVICES
THEY PROVIDE TO YOU.

I understand that the toolbar needs to track urls to accomplish some of its
features (http://a9.com/-/company/whatsCool.jsp), but some users call this
"spyware", as you can already see in the comments section of this extension.
There should be, at the very least, a big warning and a link to the above
mentioned document or their privacy policy
(http://toolbar.a9.com/-/company/privacypolicy.jsp).
Please add below the last bullet:

Note: Certain features of the A9 Toolbar require that URL information be sent
to A9.com's servers. Please read the <a href="http://toolbar.a9.com/-
/company/toolbar-tou.jsp">A9 Toolbar Terms of Use</a> for more information.

Per E-Mail with Rafael, A9 Toolbar has been removed from update.mozilla.org.
Assignee: Bugzilla-alanjstrBugs → leblang
Should this bug be closed then? And why is it assigned to someone without the
ability to upload to UMO?
It's was reassigned per instructions in Rafael's e-mail. Since it's not posted,
I don't feel it should be closed by us, it's up to the Extension Author to decide.
