User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8a5) Gecko/20041109 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8a5) Gecko/20041109 Using Timbuktu Pro 5.1 for Windows 2000 as a remote system control program. (like VNC) If I have Mozilla running on a machine, and then connect to that machine using Timbuktu, the location bar dropdown widget moves to the far left of the location bar. I can still click and type in the location bar (and autocomplete works) but I can't see what I am typing. If I attempt to open new windows in Mozilla, the location bar is rendered properly (full text field, dropdown widget at far right). The first build I noticed this behaviour in was on 11/05. Unfortunately, I've had a lot of little "annoyance" issues with nightly builds of late, so the last build I can say for sure did not exhibit this behaviour was from 9/03/04. However, this is something I do a LOT and I didn't notice this until very recently, so between that and looking at my notes, I am thinking it appeared mid-October (after October 12th, at least). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a Mozilla browser and go to any site on a machine with Timbuktu installed 2. Leave window open, walk away from machine 3. Go to another machine, and using Timbuktu, connect to the first machine 4. Looking at the Mozilla window, the location bar should be messed up. Actual Results: Location bar is messed up Expected Results: Location bar should look the way it was left on the first machine I will attach a couple of screenshots.
Immediately upon connecting, this is what the bar turns into. I don't even see it flash correct for a second and then redraw.
After typing "cnn", you still get the dropdown, but you don't see what you're typing.
This seems related to bug #268780 but I'm not sure if it is truly a dupe.
Depends on: 268780
Not seeing the problem anymore as of build 2004111805.
I'm going to mark this fixed since it seems to have gone away in all the latest builds.
