When trying to add CDDB to the search bar via the url above. Search engine
http://search.creativecommons.org is added and not CDDB.

It adds Creative Commons? Do you mean you removed the now-default Creative
Commons, and it added it back, or that it failed to install, and you've had so
little sleep this week that you hadn't noticed the Creative Commons search was
now in the defaults?

The CDDB link is trying to install from
http://mycroft.mozdev.org/plugins/CDDB.src which is 404:
http://mycroft.mozdev.org/plugins/cddball.src is the "any field CDDB" plugin.

the latter I guess. I usually only use the google so I didnt know that Creative
Commons was added. 

So ya the CDDB failed to install because of the 404. So the the link on
http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/central.html#central-engines needs to be
updated to reflect the new link of http://mycroft.mozdev.org/plugins/cddball.src

I replaced javascript:addEngine('CDDB','gif','CDDB Music Search')
with       javascript:addEngine('cddball','png','CDDB Music Search').

can we change CDDB to freedb since it's under the GPL and cddb isn't?
