User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0

When I previously opened Firefox v 1.0PR (also Thunderbird 0.9), I got a
full-size dial-up connection window (WIN XP, SP1). With v1.0, I get a minimized
window that I have to expand to OK connect.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Firefox v1.0
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Firefox opens with a minimized connection bar on the task bar - not a fully
opened connection window.

Expected Results:
Open the full size connection window as v1.0PR did (and Thunderbird v0.9 does).
Do you mean the dial-up window appears behind the browser window?

I didn't realize that that's what was happening, but yes.
More info:

Each time I have installed a new version of FF, the FIRST time I open the
program the dial-up window is on top of the FF window as it should. Every time
after that the dial-up window opens under the FF screen. The has happened each
time I updated since v1.0PR. Prior to v1.0 the dial-up window opened on top each
time.

Thunderbird: dial-up window opens on top
Internet Explorer: dial-up window opens on top
Outlook Express: dial-up window opens on top

bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

I am now using v1.0.6 and the problem still presists, but now it is only part of
the time. About half of the time the dial-up window is on top as it should be.

And in Firefox 1.5 beta 1 (as aksed by the auto-resolve mail) ? That version is
about 1.5 years newer than the 1.0. series.
I am now using v1.0.7 and the problem still persists. I also have RoboForm
installed. Could this be a factor?

This situation in resolved. It seems that RoboForm was opening before the dial-up screen and thus this screen was sent behind the browser window. Newer versions of RoboForm don't open as quickly and so the dial-up window shows up on top, first.
