I got tired of seeing the Thunderbird was trying to save a sent message to the
Sent folder and frequently it would get hung up with a moving progress bar as if
it was not able to contact the IMAP server. So I switched all of my accounts so
that sent mail is always saved to the sent folder on Local Folders, but none the
less I still experience the same problem! Is it still trying to contact the
IMAP server first? I would say this happens maybe 1 out of 25 times, but no
specific pattern.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
btw... thunderbird 0.9
I have the same problem on windows using thunderbird 0.9 and thunderbird 1.0RC1
(even after a fresh install), althought I havent tried to local folder trick.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a

(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.
