User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041026 Firefox/1.0RC1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041026 Firefox/1.0RC1 I got tired of seeing the Thunderbird was trying to save a sent message to the Sent folder and frequently it would get hung up with a moving progress bar as if it was not able to contact the IMAP server. So I switched all of my accounts so that sent mail is always saved to the sent folder on Local Folders, but none the less I still experience the same problem! Is it still trying to contact the IMAP server first? I would say this happens maybe 1 out of 25 times, but no specific pattern. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
btw... thunderbird 0.9
I have the same problem on windows using thunderbird 0.9 and thunderbird 1.0RC1 (even after a fresh install), althought I havent tried to local folder trick.
