It would be great to have the Crossover plugins working again in the new versions of Mozilla. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.For example, you can go to http://www.pixar.com/theater/trailers/incredibles/ttrailer2_480.html and try to reproduce the Quicktime file. 2. 3. Actual Results: You will view a white screen with sound but no video is played Expected Results: The QuickTime CrossOver plugin must works correctly, like on Mozilla 1.7.3 and on Firefox 1.0

Can you possibly narrow down when this broke (using builds from http://archive.mozilla.org if needed)?

(In reply to comment #3) > Can you possibly narrow down when this broke (using builds from > http://archive.mozilla.org if needed)? I have used your final mozilla1.8a5 build with xft enabled to prove that the problem is just related to the xft activation. The quicktime crossover plugin reproduces audio but not video. Everything goes ok with the quicktime crossover plugin if I use your normal build (--disable-xft option). It seems that the problem is linked with the xft enabled option.

Was the XFT build with GTK2 also? That is, were you just testing the effect of turning on XFT or turning on XFT _and_ switching widget sets?

you can't do that (bug 239466 comment 28), but I guess you can still try gtk2 without xft (unless you have gtk2.4 -- bug 239466 comment 34)

I have compiled Mozilla 1.8a5 with the following options: --prefix=/home/pacho/mozillagtk/ --enable-crypto --disable-tests --disable-debug --enable-optimize --enable-default-toolkit=gtk2 --without-system-nspr --without-system-zlib --without-system-jpeg --without-system-png --without-system-mng --disable-xft I have disabled "xft" and enabled "gtk2". The problem is still there: QuickTime plays the audio, but not the video. The problem seems to be in some change in the GTK2 Toolkit from Mozilla 1.8a1. (I checked it on a Mozilla 1.8a1 GTK2+XFT build).

Any chance of narrowing down when the problem started?

Does that mean 1.8a1 works? Or does not work?

OK. Any chance of testing nightly builds from http://archive.mozilla.org (starting with early April, which is when 1.7 branched) and seeing which one is the first one that breaks crossover?

I do not find any mozilla 1.8a1 GTK2-XFT build in archive.mozilla.org (early April). Where can I find it?
