Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. write "amd" in address bar and hit enter key Actual Results: Firefox tries to access http://amd/ Expected Results: Firefox should search "amd" in google and redirect to www.amd.com site, the same way I works without proxy servers (direct connection) all by default

Even though he's setting his own keyword.URL and you're using the default, I think you're seeing the same thing as bug 269519 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 269519 ***

Yeah. This trips IK when you have no proxy b/c IK fires on certain errors, like hostname not found.
