Details
(Keywords: crash)
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: firefox 1.0pr Not always, but often enough to be annoying (3 times yesterday)my browser freezes then crashes when I'm submitting a reply to gmail. The send does not finish. All apps running in my taskbar crash, so far including other instances of firefox I have open, msword, photoshop, and my explorer. (I use multiple tabs and windows of firefox and all freeze/crash.) I can still access apps available on my desktop. A reboot seems to give me another window of time but the reply is gone. I had the Rbot.vc worm and cleaned it and have now updated to Firefox 1.0. We'll see if it happens again. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.

I dont think its anything more than having too many tasks open, gmail is heavily reliant on javascript which takes up a fair whack on processing power on firefox's part. Try closing a few other programs.

Reporter, is this still an issue? Please retest with a nightly build
(In reply to comment #2) > Reporter, is this still an issue? Please retest with a nightly build No, this hasn't happened in a long time.
I am not having issues with this in either 1.0.1 Milestone, or any of the last weeks nightlies, including 20050325. Since the reporter has indicated that they are no longer having the problem, and because I am not having the issue, I am going to resolve this WFM. I did notice that if other apps are crashing as well as indicated in the description, it would appear to be caused by something other than Firefox, anyway. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050325 Firefox/1.0+
