User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 On my windows machine this is not a problem but...in my Fedora machine some extensions (not all of them) don't install or uninstall properly after the browser restarts. It says : "This item will be installed/uninstalled after you restart firefox" depending if i tried to install or uninstall an extension but when I restart it stays the same...which means that for corrupt installs I can't even uninstall them because they are NOT installed... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. See details above 2. 3. Expected Results: expect it to work perfectly as it does on my Windows machine!

Please provide example extensions urls. This may be caused by incorrect permissions set on files inside XPIs (packaged by bad Win programs). Please check them.
after installing the extensions (the ones displyed in the firefox webpage as the top) Firefox stoped to work. I tried to uninstall all of the extensions and it didn't work... and then it became worst. See the photos, that's my firefox. If I type a URL it doesn't work. - I cannot get rid of the left column (bookmarks, the [x] doesn't work). Although it works via the menu (View -> Sidebar). But when I restart FF I get an empty left sidebar; - Bookmark menu: doesn't show any bookmarks. If I click in "manage bookmarks" I get them... in the new window to manage them; - and no quick links or other icons that were in FF toolbar appear I unstalled FF, downloaded it again and then I installed it. It's the same... this means that I cannot use FF anymore :( I hope this will have some fix...

it won't have any fix, unless you provide the urls for the XPIs that caused trouble.
(In reply to comment #4) > it won't have any fix, unless you provide the urls for the XPIs that caused trouble. I understand you... but after I uninstall all the XPIs FF still didn't work... so I don't know which one was. Anyway do you have any hint to fix my FF? because I uninstall it as well (then installed it) but it still didn't work :(

Create a new profile <http://mozilla.org/support/firefox/profile> and copy your bookmars/other data you might need there. Ask on forums or IRC for assistance if you need it.
