User-Agent: Opera/7.54 (X11; Linux i686; U) [en] Build Identifier: 0.9 (20041103) there should be an ability to rebuild index on demand for specific folder/all folders. sometimes index files become corrupt (usually if there is not enough diskspace) - there is shown a specific unread message count that is not updated. re-opening thunderbird doesn't help. removing that file so that a new one is generated helps. actually, a better recovery from damaged index files (from lack of the diskspace) would be good :) this also applies to mailnews. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: umm. try receiving mail in different folders when there is no free diskspace. this probably happens when mail itself can be written successfully, but subsequent index updating fails.
