By using aliasses it is possible to get the mail to the right person. We are using different pc's. In Thunderbird I have made a filter which will put the mail for a person in the in-box, all other mail will go to the trash-box. On the mailserver all the mail has the status read. What I'm looking for is the following: All the mail(body/header) what is for a person will be downloaded and put in the in-box. Mail what is not for a person will not go into the trash-box. On the mailserver only the mail what is downloaded has the status read. I have tried almost every mail-client and all the mail-clients has this kind of behavior, except outlook. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.

For a POP mail account, which I assume is what you're using: the way to achieve this is to set up the account to download headers only; and then create filters which specify an action of "download message body" for those particular messages you want to see. In particular, you may want to have: If Sender in Address book, Download message body
