I use blackboard for online courses and I recently installed the 1.0 and the
timer didn't work while taking an exam!!!  The previous version I had worked
just fine.  This computer has Debian Linux version Sarge (3.1) installed.

I also had the same problem with Firefox 1.0 for Windows.

I also use the blackboard web application, and it seems that the timer at the 
bottom of the page for tests and quizzes would appear in Firefox 1.0 PR1/Windows 
and the latest Mozilla version.  However when I switched to Firefox 1.0 Final, 
the timer at the bottom of the page disappeared.
