couldn't find an existing bug for this: if you click the Choose button in the New Saved Search Folder dialog, you can select from any of the folders for the account you're searching on. however, once you've made a selection in the Select Folder(s) dialog, that choice doesn't appear after you click OK and return to the New Saved Search Folder dialog. I guess this might be tricky to implement, since more than one folder can be selected from Select Folder(s)...

Hi Sarah, I'm not quite sure what you mean by "the choice doesn't appear after you hit ok". Does this mean that we aren't searching the folders you selected?

(In reply to comment #1) > Hi Sarah, I'm not quite sure what you mean by "the choice doesn't appear after > you hit ok". what I mean is that the choice isn't displayed back in the New Saved Search Folder dialog. it's only displayed in the Select Folder(s) subdialog. again, this is just a minor thing. > Does this mean that we aren't searching the folders you selected? that's a different issue, actually :) --see bug 270027.

(In reply to comment #2) > what I mean is that the choice isn't displayed back in the New Saved Search > Folder dialog. it's only displayed in the Select Folder(s) subdialog. actually, if I revisit Select Folder(s), the selection I had previously made doesn't persist. :-\ it'd be morphing this bug somewhat, but if we could fix that issue (selection in Select Folder not persisting), that'd be helpful (and clearer).
