Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0

After setting Home Group to six tabs, when I click the "Reload Current Page" a
entire new set of tabs appears along with the current six. Clicking "Reload"
again only loads an new set of tabs.

This (home group global refresh) works with the other browser I am using
(Mozilla 1.7.2), but it's a bit of a memory hog and I am trying Firefox 1.0.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open browser (six tabs open)
2. Click "Reload current page"
3. Duplicate home group appears

Actual Results:
Duplicate home group appears

Expected Results:
It should reload/refresh each tab.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a

(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

This issue still exists and has been reported by another user. This is an odd bug indeed. I use the Mozilla browser (now: 1.7.12) and its behavior in the regard is "proper" and "useful." When I click the "Home" button (or depress the keyboard combination: 'Alt' + 'Home') my set Home Page Group refreshes.

Unfortunately a similar "request" in Firefox adds an entirely new tab group. I would prefer to use Firefox, but this bug prevents that.

I know this bug exists, probably a dupe. We do need to rethink this once we have better handling for home groups.
This issue has been going on for many months, with lots of discussion (I think as a duplicate bug). There are pros and cons on both sides. Often when people can't agree it means that it is time to add an option.

I suggest adding a user preference as a checkbox on the Options dialog "Home Page" frame on the General tab, labelled something like "Home Page command resets all tabs".

Or at least add an option that is available from about:config.
tested with 1.5.0.6 and today's bon echo on winxp and pressing reload only reloads the current tab, and does not load additional tab groups.
