User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0 After adding a number of addresses in the compose window the addresses can only be selected one at a time to delete them. And the delete key has to be pressed twice at that. You should be able to select multiple addresses either with shift or with control. Then press delete once and they should all go away. Multiple select should also work with changing the address type, To, CC, BCC, etc. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open new email 2. Add addresses 3. Actual Results: Could not select multiple addresses to do a delete or change address type. Expected Results: Allow the selection of multiple addresses and then perform the desired operation on them.
Workaround: You can multi-select if you use the Address button to open the Select Addresses window.
xref bug 252665 -- I think this is a dupe of that (which is properly entered as an enhancement) but the summary of that bug is not very informative.

This is NOT a duplicate of 25665. This is about the message compose window itself, and the fact that it will not allow any way, in the address list pane, to select multiple lines for any reason. For example, to change them all to BCC, after being hit by bug 271917. Or to delete them, for the same reason. The scheme in 252665 may be a work around, if it existed, but it is not an answer to this bug. The address list in the compose window should allow multi line selection, with ctrl click, or shift click.
