searching for a word with german umlauts like "nasenbär" in wikipedia (DE)
search, results in nothing, because the search term is modified to "nasenb?r".
Other searches like google, yahoo, wikipedia (EN) work just fine.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. open firefox
2. adjust search to "Wikipedia (DE)
3. enter any search term with umlauts

Actual Results:
The search does not find anything because the umlaut is replaced with a question
mark

Expected Results:
give me a result page for the "nasenbär" animal :)
Same thing is Bug 265579 for google (de). Duplicate?
