User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030401
Build Identifier: Thunderbird release 0.9

When a download of the thunderbird installer is corrupted by truncation, the
error message displayed when you try to run it is a message box with no icon (it
should have the MB_ICONSTOP icon under Windows, as it is a fatal error), the
title bar set to "7-Zip" (it should be at least related to the name of the
application being launched, in this case Thunderbird Setup 0.9), and the content
"Unspecified error" (the error message should specify what was wrong, in this
case that the data required to install the application was corrupt).

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use a binary file editor to truncate the installer .exe file to 4,475,660
bytes (other sizes will probably work, also)
2. Execute the file

Actual Results:
An error message is displayed which does not have the fatal error indication
icon, has an incorrect title bar that may lead users to believe it is from a
different application, and has text that does not adequately explain the problem
encountered.

Expected Results:
The error message should have a fatal error icon, should mention Thunderbird in
its title to enable the user to tell which application it came from, and should
have descriptive text that might enable the user to determine what the problem is.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
