The "play sound when new message arrives" option under General preferences does
not play a sound when new mail arrives in a Unix movemail account.  As a
"General" preference it MUST apply to ALL accounts; otherwise it should be
specified on a per-account basis.

Confirming bug with a variant, using latest stable (1.5.0.8 build 20061025)

I have 4 accounts, the new mail sound still plays despite having it turned off in the preferences inside thunderbird.
changes regarding the sound DO NOT APPLY.

Support for Movemail has been removed as of version 87 per Bug 1625741
