Were previous bookmarks backuped or lost?  A request for upgrade pops up and I
clicked ok few days ago.  Today I could not find any of my bookmarks.  This
cripples my operation.  Help.  It is done once and there is no repeats.

Pat, look in your Firefox profile directory.
<http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/profile> You might have created a new
profile when you upgraded and so started with the default set of bookmarks. If
there are two folders there, find the bookmarks.html file and you can copy and
paste the contents into your new profile.
