Build Identifier: Firefox 1 Final

If I open one webpage and that webpage is in progress the click other links in
that page to open more tabs I can't click the STOP button on the original
webpage from where I opened the tabs, Only if I click Refreh then STOP.
To be possible to click STOP on the original webpage from where I opened the
other links in tabs.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open one webpage
2. When that webpage is in open progress click other links in that page to open
more tabs
3. Change betwen tabs
4. Return to the original tab that is still in open progress and the STOP
button cannot be pressed to stop open the page
Actual Results:
It opens the webpage without being able to stop it.

Expected Results:
To be able to click on the stop button to stop open the webpage

It makes unwanted trafic.
I see this behavior on Firefox 1.0+ (build 3/02/05)

when getting the statement from www.hibernia.com (login reqired), the page never
quits loading and therefore, I can't print. However, the page is visually
complete. Safari loads this page properly...

I also see this if I try to make firefox go to a site that doesn't
exist/respond. Esp when trying to login to a router's ip address on the wrong
port (80,88,1080,8080) Firefox won't resposd to the stop so I can try a
different port# I have to just shove it onto the next port/site whatever w/o
getting it to stop ever
This also prevents printing of certain pages that fail to load.

our server was playing up this morning, which may have something to do with it,
but anyway, here i am browsing three pages, one of which is internal to our
network, and downloading a file. i stopped all 3 pages and paused the download.
no "loading" animations were present on the tabs and all pages were visually
complete yet the message "Waiting for common.ziffavisinternet.com..." was
stubbornly sat in the status bar. I think that this is an advert on a tab that
i've closed.

generally though i find the stop button lacking in tabbed browsing. i want the
stop button to stop. not "maybe wait to see if the advert in the iframe loads"
but stop. everyting. now.
Your reported Firefox version(s) are too old a build to analyze bugs against now. The problem you are reporting may well have been fixed already.

Could you please download a recent version or nightly build from <http://www.mozilla.org/releases/nightly.html>, and then let us know if you still see this problem?

Also, Could you please provide exact build information and examples of pages where you see this problem.

Many thanks, Cigno
