I believe, there should be separate option for whether to autocomplete on secure site or not. User should not be at risk even if secure site does not set autocomplete flag. Doesn't firefox ask if it should store the password for a page ?

not really a dupe :-) He wants the opposite, he wants that firefox doesn't save passwords on all https pages. I marked bug 269726 invalid because the page can itself disable the password manager with autofill="off".

i just tried it with FF1.0 and bugzilla and FF asks if it should store the password. Asking is near the same as an option to disable it -> wontfix

There is also a "Never for this site" option. Verified.
